Delete your Crochetify account
Last updated October 8, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account for the Crochetify app and the crochetify.app website, both made by Crochetify, and what happens to your data when you do. One account covers the app and the website, so deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Crochetify app and make sure you are signed in.
- Tap the You tab, then Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete to confirm. If your account has a password, enter it.
Your account is deleted at once and you are signed out. If you haven't signed in for a while, the app may ask you to sign out and sign back in first. If your account runs a shop, the app opens your dashboard instead: follow the steps below.
Delete an account that runs a shop
A shop is deleted with its owner's account, so a few things come first. Do these on the website at crochetify.app.
- If your plan still renews, cancel it in Settings > Plan & billing.
- Fulfill or refund every open order, so each buyer gets their order or their money back.
- If your Club has members, delete your shop first in Settings > Store details. This closes your Club and emails your members. Members with paid time left keep access until it ends, and your shop is deleted then. Come back for the last step after that.
- Open Profile from the menu under your initial at the top of the dashboard. Under Danger zone, choose Delete account and type your email, and your password if you have one, to confirm.
To close only the shop and keep your account for shopping, use Delete store in Settings > Store details instead.
Ask us by email
If you can't sign in, or you shop only on the website, email hello@crochetify.app from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may reply to that address to confirm it's you, and we email you when it's done. An account that runs a shop follows the same rules as above: open orders are settled first.
What we delete
These are deleted when your account is deleted.
- Your account. Your name, email address, profile photo, password, Google or Apple sign-in, and every signed-in session.
- Your shopping details. Your saved address, your email settings, the shops you follow, and your notification settings.
- What you posted. Your comments, likes, poll votes, saved Club posts, answers on the hook, and the people you blocked.
- Club memberships. They end, and paid ones stop renewing.
- Your shop, if you run one. Every listing, photo, video, pattern file, order, customer, page, Club post and message in it. Your plan is canceled, any custom domain is released, and we ask Stripe to close your payout account.
What we keep, and for how long
Some records outlive the account because a shop, a payment or the law needs them. None of them is linked to your account afterward.
- Orders you placed. Each shop keeps its orders, with what you bought, what you paid, and the name, email and shipping address you gave, for its records, taxes and refunds. They are kept for legal and accounting reasons with no fixed end, until the shop itself is deleted.
- Payment records. Stripe, our payment provider, keeps records of payments, and of a shop owner's plan invoices, as payment and tax law require. We keep a shop owner's billing history there for accounting and disputes, with no fixed end.
- Messages and reviews. Messages you sent a shop stay in that shop's inbox, and reviews you wrote stay on the shop under the name you gave. Email us to have a review removed.
- Club free trials. For each Club you paid for, we keep a one-way code made from your email address, not the address itself, so its free trial can't start twice. It is kept while that Club exists.
- Emails we sent you. Our log of each email (address, subject and delivery status) is kept for one year. The text of some emails is kept for 90 days, and the text of sign-in codes, password resets and messages is never stored.
- Records that hold your email address. A cart you left at a shop's checkout, a Notify me request for a coming-soon listing, and a problem you reported keep the email address on them. Email us and we'll remove them.
- Blocks. If a shop or Crochetify blocked your email address, the block stays so it keeps working.
- Anonymous activity. Visits, taps, searches and saves are recorded against a random id for each browser or app install, not your account. Shops see them only as counts. Visits and taps are cleared after one year and searches after 90 days. A save stays in the listing's count.
- Backups and server logs. They can hold a copy until they expire.
